In my parish, announcements are read before Mass begins, which seems to me a much better time than just prior to the final blessing, or really any other point during the Mass itself.

I am so late to the dance on reading this, but I have said this over and over and over!! Stop with the announcements after Communion!! The bulletin is shoved at you when you leave and it is also online. Many are reading it during Mass...I don't need you to read the entire bulletin to me before I leave. And the ushers....don't even get me started. So pushy and some are just downright rude...."we HAVE to get all these people seated....and we don't care if they're sitting in your lap, or crawling over you, etc. We have one particular usher that likes to stand in the center aisle, like he's directing a plane up to the gate. While I'm trying to focus on the crucifix or the tabernacle, all I see is the usher, directing traffic in the center aisle, all the way up to a minute or two before Mass starts. No one else seems to think this is problematic or distracting. Thank you for confirming what I have been saying/thinking for years!!
