Hi! My seven year old son would like to know where your music came from. (He heard the just the ending of the episode.)

Isn't it great? It's a version of Shostakovich's Waltz #2 with a lute, but here is an orchestral one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phBThlPTBEg

I am so happy to learn of a new-to-me British author of cozy books! I am on my second round of reading DE Stevenson’s books—many set in the Scottish borderlands, early 20th century. She has a gift for having main characters appear as sub characters in other books—making you feel like you live in the area and know the neighbors. There is a publisher called Furrowed Middlebrow that has lots of fun British novels, but Stevenson is by far my favorite!

I'm not sure which of the commentator's fantasies to address first, or if they even warrant a response, but they discuss the effects of population control on economic growth but are silent on the measurable effects of overpopulation on the world's ecology. Nor do they explain how India can be having a "population problem" when it still enjoys population growth at 2.2 children per woman. And are they implicitly arguing there is no correlation between elevated carbon emissions and the greenhouse effect? Burying our heads in the proverbial sand, pretending realities don't exist and resorting to magical thinking aren't going to solve the real problems the earth, and all of its inhabitants, are now facing.

I guess you didn't read the WSJ article.

And perhaps you are not familiar with demographics... but you will find out, when you are old and there is no one to care for you!

Blessings!

Unfortunately the major breastfeeding support organizations have gone woke and are no longer a safe place for young Christian moms. They have adopted “gender inclusive” language and are just corrupted which is so unfortunate because I believe at least one of the founders of La Leche was Catholic. For mothers looking for an alternative, the Catholic Nursing Mother’s League is committed to be faithful to Catholic teaching about the family and men and women. http://catholicbreastfeeding.blogspot.com/?m=1

There is also a Facebook group where mom’s can answer questions. Experienced mothers can become peer counselors.

Also, I read your recommendation, Hannah’s Children, and found it to be so compelling. It made me want to have another baby even as I’m nursing a 5 month old! Thank you for bringing it to my attention!

I also really appreciate you highlighting that the nursing mother is an icon that the world needs. We have an icon of the Theotokos Milkgiver in our living room which is where I do most of my nursing. There really is nothing like holding your baby and the bonding that happens while he/she is nursing.

Thank you!

I haven't read Hannah's Children -- perhaps you are confusing me with someone else?

lol, I must have picked it up from Crisis or CatholicVote then. For what it’s worth, I think you’d enjoy it based on what I’ve read on both your blogs. :) I listened to it on Audible and it was a good listen.
