It's tricky though! Here is one priest's take (he's a CPA by the way) when people were worrying about supporting the chancery that was shutting everything down: https://www.catholicculture.org/commentary/appealing-to-better-angels-pastors/'

Here's further discussion: https://canonlawblog.wordpress.com/2019/02/01/a-canonical-look-at-fr-pokorskys-idea/

Yes! This is just sickening to discover. How many of us have sacrificed to send what little we can only to find out how little of it actually went to people worse off?

I enjoy listening to your podcast as often as I'm able! Thank you!

Your thoughts on femininity are refreshing. I wish we could sit down for tea and discuss it all!

Leila, over the past few years your work has helped me detox from being a career woman in favor of leaving my career behind and embracing my role as housewife and mother. I am so glad you’re speaking the truth on femininity, and I am thankful for all the advice you have to share in the name of the collective memory. Every young woman needs to hear this. And listening to you and Phil converse with each other is a delight…my husband and I look up to you both. God bless you ❤️🙏🏼

Leila - I’m sure lots of people say you “have good tips”, and that you do. But your blog and Substack (and this podcast) are refreshing and motivating for me because they are really about virtue. My mother was a wonderful mother and wife who did her job well and taught me the practical aspects of it. But I find now that I’m a wife and mother, although I technically know how to do everything, the nitty gritty of governing myself and our household has eluded me. Chaos ensues. Reading your writing has helped me start to see my management not as simply executing a duty, but rather as cultivating my virtue and hopefully creating a peaceful, holy home for our family where all of us can grow in virtue. Thank you!
